Term and Conditions for Submission of Papers

The work must be original and unpublished, and may not have been or be forwarded for evaluation by other scientific publication vehicles before the XVIII International Congress of Costs and the XXX Brazilian Congress of Costs. The International Institute of Costs and the Brazilian Association of Costs reserve the right to make, in the published work, changes of normative, orthographic and grammatical order, in order to maintain the cultured standard of the language, respecting, however, the style of the authors. The published work becomes property of the International Institute of Costs and the Brazilian Association of Costs. The published work is the sole responsibility of the author(s), and the International Institute of Costs and the Brazilian Association of Costs are responsible for the evaluation of the articles, as organizers of the event only. The organizers are not responsible for any violations of Law No. 9,610/1998 (Brazil), Copyright Law.

The Proceedings of the XVIII International Congress of Costs and XXX Brazilian Congress of Costs shal be licensed by Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 2.5 Brazil.

Procedures for Submission of Papers
Scientific papers for evaluation must be submitted exclusively through Internet, until 11:59pm (official time of Brasilia) on 21st Aug/2023). Before submission, the first author must have already been registered himself/herself in the system, which can be done at: “Registration”. After proceeding the registration, the author must “log in” in order to submit the work at “Article Submission” link, obeying the specific rules of the work format. The article to be submitted must be in “pdf” format. The work must be sent without the identification of the authors and follow the standard template (Modelo_Artigo_CIC_CBC_2023).

Each author may submit a maximum of four papers, and the count of the number of works does not distinguish authorship from co-authorship. It should be noted that each work must be unpublished and that it may not be presented in more than one thematic area. The maximum number of authors in each papers is 6 (six).

The works to be presented to the Congress can be written in the form of:

a) Contributions to the subject (Results of scientific work from research projects concluded; its advances or significant advances in ongoing investigations),

b) Communications on professional and/or teaching experiences (Comments on the development of technical applications, field work, pedagogical proposals, didactical experiences, etc.),

c) Essays (Argumentative and informative works, which expose product interpretations author’s personal reflection on a given topic)

It is important to observe the work format instructions, because an evaluation of the contents will be carried out previously, verifying compliance with the required formatting. Files infected with viruses will not be accepted.

Evaluation of Works
The evaluation will be in the anonymous evaluation system (blind review), and each work will be examined by at least 02 (two) evaluators, without the identification of the authors. Only papers with appropriate wording and spelling, that comply with the format and deadline standards will be accepted, as the sent version is considered to be the final version.
The scientific Committee will judge the papers exclusively by their quality, limiting the selection to the appropriate number for presentations considering the Congress available time. No substitutions will be allowed.
The approved papers will be published in the Annals of the XVIII International Congress of Costs and XXX Brazilian Congress of Costs, provided the registration of one of the authors at least, until 30th September, 2023.

Approved articles
The Organizing Committee will inform the author about the result of the evaluation of the works, by e-mail and on the website, until 22nd September, 2023. The inclusion of approved papers for presentation and publication in the Annals of the XVIII International Congress of Costs and XXIX Brazilian Congress of Costs is conditioned to the payment of the event registration fee, of at least one of the authors, until 30th September, 2023.

The dissemination of the oficial scientific program, including information on the presentation of the approved works, will be held until 1st November, 2023.
